Untamed emerged from a dream that stayed with me for years before it found its way onto paper. The image arrived whole rather than constructed, carrying the internal coherence of the unconscious rather than the rules of the waking world. Drawing it felt less like making something new and more like remembering something that had already existed.
Untamed sits within my wider exploration of inner landscapes, where memory, instinct, and layers of consciousness merge. A state where language is not used, explanation is not needed, where we can move more freely and resist the containment we experience elsewhere.
This piece of art was created in a time within a wider body of art exploring similar themes.
